What We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service:

• Email address — collected when you sign in, used solely for account management and saving your learning progress.
• User preferences — such as difficulty level and display settings, stored to personalize your experience.
• Bookmarks — situations you save are stored to your account.

That’s it. We do not collect names, phone numbers, payment information, or any other personal data.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use kaiwa.pro. This service may collect:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page.
• General geographic region (country/city level).
• Device type, browser, and operating system.
• Referring website or search query.

This data is aggregated and anonymised. We do not use it to identify individual users. Google’s data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

What We Do NOT Collect

• No advertising cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or retargeting pixels.
• No data brokers. No data is sold, rented, or shared with ad networks or data brokers.
• No social media tracking. No data is sent to social media platforms.

How We Use Your Data

Your email and preferences are used exclusively to:

1. Authenticate your account.
2. Save and restore your learning progress, bookmarks, and preferences.

We never sell, rent, share, or disclose your email address or any personal data to third parties.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure (EU region). Supabase provides encryption at rest and in transit. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below and we will process your request within 30 days.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights under applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, APPI):

• Access — Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion — Request deletion of your data.
• Portability — Request your data in a portable format.
• Opt-out — You can opt out of Google Analytics data collection at any time via the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
